SkillsUSA Illinois Championships

 

Every winter hundreds of SkillsUSA Illinois students partake in the annual State Qualifying Events (SQE). This is their gateway to many of the competitions at the SkillsUSA Illinois Championships during the State Leadership & Skills Conference. 

SkillsUSA Illinois Championships

The SkillsUSA Illinois Championships recognizes career and technical education students who excel in their occupational areas, and spotlights leadership development activities that are such an integral part of the SkillsUSA program.

It is the goal of SkillsUSA Illinois to run all contests at maximum numbers. Therefore, after you have received the results of the State Qualifying Exams, please notify Chris Anderson (contact information below) as soon as possible, if any of your students that have qualified for a contest, will not be competing in that contest, so that he may contact the next contestant who qualifies to compete.

State Qualifying Events

Due to tremendous growth, SkillsUSA Illinois is expanding their opportunities to students. It is clear that to continue to grow and serve members, SkillsUSA Illinois must begin to expand programing. This year, SkillsUSA Illinois is excited to announce two regional-based Championship events to offer students an opportunity to advance to the State Championships. State Qualifying Conferences (SQC), will be hosted in early March allowing every student the opportunity for a hands-on event. 

 State Qualifying Exam Window

February 13 – 20, 2020
Online: 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
$10 per exam

 State Qualifying Conference – South

February 21, 2020
Southwestern Illinois College
$30 per student

 State Qualifying Conference – North

March 6, 2020
Elgin Community College
$30 per student
