SkillsUSA Illinois’ mission is to empower students to become skilled professionals, career-ready leaders, and responsible community members. One of the ways we bring this mission to life is through our annual LEAD Conference, where students have the opportunity to develop the SkillsUSA Framework skills that will serve them in the classroom, workplace, and community.

At LEAD Conference, students explore skills such as Leadership, Communication, Teamwork, Responsibility, Problem-Solving, and more. They gain a better understanding of their own strengths while discovering ways to strengthen the skills they will need to succeed in their future careers and beyond.

Leadership Starts Here Scholarship

We believe every student should have the opportunity to experience LEAD Conference and discover their potential as a leader.

Thanks to the generous support of our business and industry partners in the SkillsUSA Illinois network, we are able to make this experience more accessible to students who may need additional financial assistance to attend.

Through their support, SkillsUSA Illinois will award $165 Leadership Starts Here Scholarships to 60 participants to help offset the cost of attending LEAD Conference.
